will be presenting data management techniques to prepare your data for analysis in R. This is a vital first topic for those of you who are new to R.

Using R for Algorithm Design and Debugging

Software Engineer at Bazaarvoice, Amaan Penang

Conventional debugging tools allow us to freeze the execution of an algorithm by strategically placing breakpoints in our code but some iterative algorithms have intermediate states that often don't make sense in isolation. Using R you can generate visualizations to confirm that a particular algorithm is not only doing what you expect it to do but how you expect it to do it.

BEER and PIZZA will be provided so come and get to know your fellow Austin UseRs and let's get this group off to a great start.
