October Austin UserRs Group Meetup: HTML/CSS Reports & Text Mining/NLP in R

HTML/CSS Report building in R

Jesse Sampson

Jesse will present a follow-up to David P's fun and informative talk on reporting using Brew and Knitr, focusing this time on HTML/CSS output instead of TeX. The presentation will also cover tools such as the googleVis package that now allow useRs to move seamlessly from data to well-realized, interactive web content.

Survey of Text Mining / NLP in R

Ike Okonkwo

Ike will be going over the different text mining facilities / packages in R with detailed examples. He will also cover building a simple text classifier for a sample dataset.

BEER and PIZZA will be provided so come and get to know your fellow Austin UseRs.

really enjoyed the HTML/CSS Reports session - glad i had a chance to write down the packages. the NLP session gave me a few ideas but it wasn't as much my 'things' as the reporting/data representation.

Hi All, I work for Infochimps. :) You can park for free anywhere along Winflo street (our cross-street from 6th) or in the neighborhood just above where our office is located. Please do not park in any of the retail parking lots, because the stores associated with those lots do tow. One note: after about 630p or so, the automagic security locks turn on and you'll need to be let into the building. I'll check periodically for people, so do not despair. Our office number is: 855-DATA-FUN (toll free) so you can also call if you're stuck in the garage for more than a few minutes. :)

You can find parking on the street for free, I think... At least, I didn't pay last month :-)

No. West 6th street area tends to have more free parking.

I just moved to Austin. Is parking downtown expensive?
