Self-Taught Programmers: New Year, New Things to Learn

Hey coders, Christa here!

I noticed the previous organizer of this meet-up had to leave, so I thought it would be fun to pick it up instead of letting it get dismantled, being a self-taught programmer myself!

I was thinking it would be fun to start the New Year talking about all of the nerdy and badass things we want to learn. This meet-up is for anyone of any skill level, the only requirement is you love to learn.

Please bring your fine self, (and a friend), a project you're working on, questions about coding, and hopefully a computer.

Here's a tentative schedule:

7:00 - 7:30 - Networking & things

7:30 - 8:00 - We will take a few minutes to let people talk about what we are working on and ask for any help they may need. At this time, I'm going to offer a few different articles or books to read. I want to do this event every other week and have a fun topic to talk about each time!

8:00 - 10:00 (or whenever) - Let's co-work! I will be there to offer help on anything I can help with (freelancing, front-end, style sheets, building websites). Also Jeff and I have some fun things with Javascript I would like to show anyone who is interested.
