Join us on a hilly 32-mile ride to McKinney Falls and Onion Creek, with a shady break (water, restrooms) midway through the ride.

Riders must wear a helmet (http://www.rei.com/learn/expert-advice/bicycle-helmet.html) and obey all traffic laws (http://www.biketexas.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=54&Itemid=64). Riders should have water, gloves (http://bicycling.about.com/od/bikeequipmentaccessories/a/bike_gloves.htm), repair kit (http://bicycling.about.com/od/bikeequipmentaccessories/a/Everything_else.htm), lock, cell phone, ID, money. Expect to ride about 32 miles at a 12 mph pace - make sure that is suitable for you - as we plan to stick together as a group. Cue sheets will be provided.

You're invited to stay for the Austin Cycling Association's (http://www.austincycling.org) annual summer picnic afterwards ($8). Sign up by Friday, August 2nd at www.austincycling.org (http://www.austincycling.org/) or by sending a check for $8 per person to ACA, Attn Picnic, PO Box 5993, Austin, TX 78763 (indicate if you want the vegetarian option). A free hands-only CPR class will be held at noon.

Directions to Martin Park: From I-35, go east on Cesar Chavez, and turn right on Chicon (towards the lake). Follow Chicon until you see Jesse Segovia St to the left, and the Pavilion will be on your right.
