12 reasons your API sucks
Presented by Keith Casey (@caseysoftware), software developer
The first moments of using an API are pivotal--downloading this week’s documentation PDF, setting up a SOAP client, reconfiguring all your URLs, and decoding the latest binary payloads. It makes your heart sing and your blood pressure rise. Just like there are code smells through the rest of your project, there are API smells that make them hard to design, hard to launch, and hard to maintain. Keith will explore a few APIs to highlight common issues and demonstrate how to fix these issues before they become problems.
Will code for foodPresented by Ben Brown (@benbrown) and Damien Bell (@damiensbell), xoxcoTwo hungry developers will discuss a nerdy approach to finding good things to eat and drink. Ben will discuss LunchBots, and Damien will talk about creating the Only Indie Coffee app.
A big thanks to SpareFoot (https://www.facebook.com/SpareFoot) for sponsoring this month's meetup!
