Welcome to the Austin Business Referrals Meeting Invite for March 16th, 2011! We look forward to meeting you!

We try not to be an exclusive group (in other words, even if you are a professional or business owner working in the same or similar field as one of our current members, you are still welcome to attend). Our philosophy is that there is enough business and referrals out there for everybody and every personality type. However, before you decide to come, it may be helpful for you to know that we do have members who regularly attend from the following professions*

  • All Types of Insurance-Mark Lyne–[masked]
  • Health and Beauty-LaRue Wright–[masked]

*Please note-To appear on this list you must have attended 3 meetings in a row, and be currently attending on-going meetings.


If you have a friend or know somebody who owns, operates a business or is an exceptional professional, please invite them to join you at our this meeting.

Agenda: Our goal is to have the meeting over in a little less than an hour before we break down into small groups. With respect to those attending, the meetings will begin on time - if you are late, you are still welcome, but, you will miss what happens while you are not there. Feel free to arrive early enough before the start of the meeting to get lunch from Central Market (if desired).

Kick off and Welcome message: This is a quick 2 - 5 minute welcome to call the meeting to order.

Introductions: This is a VERY QUICK 15 to 20 second Name, General Location & Tagline introduction which will be accompanied by passing a business card around to the attendees.

For example, you may hear me introduce myself:
"Hello, my name is Mark Lyne, I own an insurance agency, located in La Frontera, we specialize in Personal Insurance with a focus on Commercial, Auto, Homeowner and Investment Property - Our website is - We Work Hard To Cover Your Assets - One Cheek At A Time!"

Lead Story: This is an opportunity to share a positive referral story with the group from somebody who either received or provided a referral to a member of the group.

For example, one member received a referral from another member which resulted in 8 sales; somebody else went the extra mile on a Saturday evening to help a fellow group member close a deal. Another member referred their family to somebody in our group which resulted in a $6,000 sale! Our group is active in our referrals to each other!

Drawings: Oftentimes, attendees will bring door prizes or other items which we usually draw for toward the end of the meeting.

Small Groups/Networking: We end each meeting by breaking down into small groups. Many members take this opportunity to provide and learn more information about other members. This is a great opportunity to begin to feel comfortable about referring your friends and business associates to the members of the group.
