Remember:  "There is a difference between a 'victim' and a 'victor' mindset" -- Tony Blauer

Mon 7:00 PM, Wed 7:00 PM, & Sat 9:00 AM

We practice:

Avoiding criminal attacks (detecting potential threats before they become manifest)
...and escaping hold-ups or other attacks, to run from trouble
...or to access and deploy our defensive weapons.

Using our defensive tools effectively if the criminal continues the attack
...through the full range of dangerous predicaments for surviving criminal attack
...to save our life or those we love and return home safe

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced martial artist, whether you carry a knife, firearm, pepper spray or some other defensive tool, your first job is to avoid or survive the initial attack while gaining time or distance for ACCESSING your skills and your tools, and THEN to use the tools to successfully stop the attack and return home safe.

You do not pick your mugger; your mugger picks you.

AustinCombatives_Meetup@LearnQuick.Com

We partner with Central Texas Combatives Training Group which also meets regularly in Killeen (with carpools from Ft. Hood) on Tuesday and Thursday evenings as well as hosting quarterly meetups in Central Texas.  Past CTCTG meetups have included:

  • Airsoft Force on Force (holdup & attack scenarios)
  • Practice for accessing under pressure (concealed handguns)
  • Shoot 'n Move training at the gun range in Liberty Hill.  Remember:  it is likely that the criminal attack will be well under way before you begin to access your defensive weapon -- how do you survive and catch up when you start with a disadvantage?
