Refresh your wardrobe, meet and hang out with other awesome plus-sized women in Austin, and support a good cause. Bring your gently used plus-sized (14/XL and larger) women's clothing, shoes, and accessories to the 29th Street Ballroom for a clothes swap and sale. Drop off your items between 11:30 and 12:00, then hang out and enjoy an hour of FREE SNACKS & a cash bar. The Great Clothes Swap begins at 1:00pm. Swap, games & raffle ends at 4. Ballroom and bar will remain open for socializing until 5pm. Got clothes to swap? $5 entrance fee and at least 5 items of clothing gets you a grocery bag to fill with new stuff! Get even more clothes at just $5 for each additional bag. No clothes to swap? $10 entrance fee gets you a grocery bag to fill with new stuff. Get even more clothes at just $5 for each additional bag. We’ll also have a cash bar, games, and we’ll raffle off a one-of-a-kind custom gown made for Plus Sized model and actress CJ Legare (www.powerpinc.com) as well as other fun items. It's a great deal, and the profits will go to GenAustin and their mission to support and guide girls to make wise choices as they navigate the unique pressures of girlhood www.genaustin.org Items that are not taken in the swap will be donated to SafePlace (http://www.safeplace.org/). Women's formalwear will be donated to the Fairy Godmother Foundation that provides prom dresses to girls in need (www.austinfairygodmother.org/) Please, feel free to invite your friends and spread the word.
