Swimming Pool Party, Burgers & Beer Can Races at Austin Yacht Club Fri 7/31

Casual Sailboat Races: Come out and enjoy a dip in our pool with hamburgers after! Races start around 6:30 and go for an hour. A great way to meet sailors! My boat can carry 5 or 6 only, so NOT everyone is guaranteed a boat ride.

Beginner Sailing: No experience required! No getting wet! A spinnaker set is possible, depending on crew skills.

Arrive by 6 for the best sailing slots. We will walk the dock looking for sailboat rides in the races. Later, all sailors come up to the clubhouse for a hamburger meal with fixins ($5).

Allow for traffic. We leave for the dock 15 minutes after Meetup time.

Take a bathroom break before this one hour cruise.

Participate! Be prepared to sail and swim, and pull on a rope or two.
Wear your swimsuit! Bring hat, sun protection, sneakers, adult beverages, water, snack, camera. Bug spray. $5 for your burger meal.

BYOB for pool party; please, no glass around the pool.

Directions to AYC:
Find Ranch Road 620; go south to the dam and ONE mile beyond to the traffic light at Hudson Bend Road.
Turn right on Hudson Bend Road & go ONE mile only to Beacon Drive! (Shamrock station on right).
Turn right on Beacon Drive & go ONE mile and thru the AYC gate to the parking lot.
The Clubhouse is straight ahead. Turn right toward the pool. Park and lock.
