Welcome to the Austin Virtual Assistant's group! We meet monthly, on a Saturday. The date, time and place will be determined by those who attend the previous meeting and will be posted as a new meetup viewable to members.

There is no agenda. This is a relaxed and social-based group. We talk business, but it's more of a long-term mastermind. We are there to get to support and know each other on a deeper and more meaningful level. Helping each other in business is just one part of that.

These meetings bring together VAs from the Austin area. All VAs and aspiring VAs are welcome. Please note that we DO NOT talk about how to get started or get clients or anything like that. We will be introducing a twice yearly event that we will hold to talk about being a virtual assistant. More info to come soon on that!

This group was founded in 2003 by Lana Newlander and Candy Beauchamp, who ran into each other through IVAA (ivaa.org) and decided to hold a VA Connection. IVAA and TexVAL still sponsor this group, providing goodies, but membership in either is not required.

IMPORTANT ---> There is no selling or anything like that. This group and meeting is open to current and aspiring VAs ONLY. We ask that you be serious about your business and have already done your research. This group is not for teaching you everything about being a VA. You need to be proactive. If you are "just looking into it" then this is not the group for you, if you would like information about it and how to get started with your research email candy@offassist.com and she'll be happy to send you information in the meantime. This group is also not for negativity; a positive outlook and attitude is most definitely required.
