Picnic at the Symphony - This weekend Strings

This is a weekly event through the end of the schedule.

Where to find our group - If you are coming from the top of the stairs facing downtown, we are on the right about 1/3 of the way back. If you are coming from Riverside facing the Long center, look left on the grass. You should find some red tables set up and extreme picnic gear. I will try to have a red balloon weekly - but if not, trust me, we are easy to spot ;).

Here is a link to a map. See where it says Yelp Folks - that is where to find us. http://www.keepandshare.com/doc/2864508/location-of-group-pdf-june-11-2011-8-32-am-129k?dn=y

This is a great Summer sunset symphony tradition. Enjoy the beautiful Hartman Foundation Park just off the terrace of the Long Center, which serves as a stage, at sunset.

Pack a picnic, some wine, bring a blanket and your chill self for a fun Summer Sunday evening Austin tradition. Even though summer tends to be hot, the hour and the location are generally temperate with a light breeze. Not much of a picnic maker, bring takeout from one of your favorite haunts and compliment it with your own beverages.

Dog and Kid Friendly.

Was so looking forward to tonight, however & unfortunately, allergies or a summer cold has us down for the count. Rain check for sure!

I attended last night June 23. It was wonderful to meet Darla and her mom (who made a fabulous brisket) and so many gregarious people including Yelpers. I did not realize that this was a potluck. Next time I will bring food to share. Also, I was so busy talking that I couldn't really pay attention to the music. Still lots of fun!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
