Heath .. any time you have a Spider House moment and feel like company, you
can let me know. I loved hanging out there. I'll privately email you my
phone number. In fact I will do that for anyone who is interested in
having it. I just don't want to put it on the www.

It might be nice to have a brainstorming session to just come up with ideas
that have worked for any of us or any we want to try and go from there. We
don't have to know what it will look like when it's finished. I'm pretty
good at planning, so I would be happy to help with that. With the monthly
meetup membership fee, we can have as many actual meetups as we want that
month. That's something else that could be brainstormed. And as well the
meetup fee situation. I think we should plan to raise enough money to pay
for 12 months asap. There could be some setup where we pay dues every other
month or for the first 3 months, etc. I feel it would be best to have a
goal and plans in place to handle that seemlessly so it doesn't need to take
away from the other work of the meetings.

The two most important things in any endeavor are #1-showing up and #2
enthusiasm. We are doing well in those areas. Aren't we?

Cinde

ps .. I would like to talk about penn names sometime. When I publish, I
don't think I want to use my every day name. Anyone else have ideas on that
subject?

Heath .. Does the forum site have the ability to send messages via email or
can threads be subscribed to?

An enclave! :) That sounds good. I think meeting centrally is a
good goal. I'm still inclined to try Genuine Joes just because we've
now tried a south place and a central one but not a north one. Until
the perfect place is found, experimentation is in order... If someone
knows of another -central- spot, we can try for that; I'll hold off on
setting the rsvp page to Genuine Joe's for a few days. If no-one
does, then I'd vote we try Genuine Joe's.

I know that I myself am also likely every now and then to just chime
in and say "Hey, I'm going to be at Spider House this afternoon if
anyone wants to talk shop." (I go there a lot.) So I'd love to see
more spontaneous and small things happen too.

Well, at the least I'll bet we could chime in. This group is open to
writers of all kinds, and we talk about writing and share our writing
for feedback & conversation. Tips on promotion of a book of poetry
seem perfectly reasonable, though the tips may come from people who
may only be speculating on things to do to promote it, rather than
professional publishers or promoters. Then again someone's career
experience might lie in that direction.
