July Topic: Does Australia have enough transparency?
The first in a series of monthly discussion events hosted by open data activist/developer Rosie Williams (http://infoaus.net). Relevant to those interested in open data, whistleblowing, FOI, media, activism, politics & government.
What are the important issues in transparency in Australia: technology, politics, government/corporate spending?
Come and tell us your thoughts on where Australia is at in regards to transparency, what it means to you and where you think Australia should be heading. This is where you can talk with open data/open source enthusiasts about the projects Australians can benefit from and the data needed to make them happen.
Each month will focus on a particular topic eg financial transparency, health, education. Feel free to suggest topics for future meet-ups in this series which will be repeated on the 3rd Thursday of each month in Sydney. Meet by the fireplace. You can contact Rosie on 0435 358 273.
