Yay it's the OpenStack Birthday Party!!!
In honour of this celebration, we take the opportunity to go over the basics of how to get involved with OpenStack, roles such as:
a.) how to be an OpenStack code committeer: knowing the meritocracy model used to vote code into source),
b.) how to be an OpenStack business manager/analyst: looking to get OpenStack into the hands of your companies customers/users,
c.) how to be an OpenStack technical documenter: improve the ever changing instructions for how to install and use OpenStack,
d.) how to be an OpenStack DevOpps or SysAdmin: operating OpenStack in the real world, and/or;
e.) how to be a local OpenStack community organiser: helping recruit and explain all the above to the wide world!
We will also celebrate OpenStack's birthday by having our own mini "awards show" (warning: film crew!), where we will be giving out some "medals" to the people in our community who are "best of breed" at each of the above roles here in Melbourne!
As usual our events are a mix of informal networking and training. We'll have several on hand who recently attended the OpenStack Summit in Atlanta and can tell you the latest gossip on the IceHouse release accordingly!
Come one, come all - help us celebrate OpenStack turning 4 years of age!
