Take time out of your busy life to connect with your soul through dancing. I was tired of driving to Decatur to attend the spiritual dance, which I loved, and decided to cocreate something like it with a friend in North Cobb. We meet the second Sunday of every month from 6-7:30pm at Daystar Dance Academy in Kennesaw (2765 South Main St). At the beginning of our time together we share in a circle, our intention for the evening, and then we play mostly non lyrical music to dance from our hearts. Some people stretch, others do yoga poses, and then I like to move according to my intuition. This type of dance is very cathartic to the soul. Christine Northrup M.D., author of Women's Bodies Women's Wisdom, says that doing a happy dance is the best medicine to uplift your mood. No previous dancing experience is necessary and all are welcome. We ask for a $5 individual donation and a $10 family donation to cover the cost of the facility.
