Presentation: Unconventional Success

Many of the world’s most successful people have been what my friends and I reverently call “Torkers”—persons living life to the fullest in their own unique ways. The success of Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey and Richard Branson for example, are not stories about following a career path.

First they gained relevant experience, then took a hard look at what was going on around them understanding the situation more clearly than anyone else, and then they took advantage of the opportunities they saw in an ultimate way.

In this seminar I will show that the ability to learn from personal experience is not only useful for unique accomplishments but also for happiness and personal fulfillment.

There are five key areas that I will focus on:

· The bottom-up method for experiential learning

· The three principles of “torking” to maximize enjoyment of life and unique accomplishments

· Choosing your associations using empirical personality clusters

· Consequential beliefs- setting short and long term business goals

· All decisions are predictions
