ASPiE is a new group for college students with ASD! We are looking for new members, which is why we started this meetup group. Please join us -- we would love to meet you!
ASPiE is a peer support group geared toward college students with ASD. The group includes all students from colleges and universities in the Chicago area. Those who attend will have opportunities to meet students with similar interests, discuss college life in a supportive environment, hear about topics of interest (relationships, dating, assertiveness skills, organization, etc.), and have fun. Snacks are provided. Some meetings will occur in the community (coffee shops, restaurants, bowling, etc.). The group is facilitated by a clinical psychologist (Jennifer Gorski, Ph.D.), but is not a therapeutic group. The focus of the group is on peer interactions, support, and shared interests to build relationships in a fun environment.
