Weekly Classes on Mindfulness and Meditation

Details
Linda Hochstetler will be leading us in mindfulness meditation practice every Thursday at 7:30pm. Mindfulness meditation is the practice of bringing a non-judgemental, friendly, open-hearted, and accepting way of looking at anything that arises in awareness. By intentionally practicing mindfulness, we can learn to spend less time on "auto pilot" and live more fully and be more present. Each class will include an overview of a principle of mindfulness, as well as 30 minutes of silent mindfulness meditation practice. New and experienced meditators alike are welcome.

Linda Hochstetler is not only a dedicated meditator and instructor of mindfulness meditation, she's also a seasoned counselor and the mother of a 16 year old son and two grown step-sons. She has been weaving together her spiritual path with parenting and her working life for nearly two decades. She believes passionately in the interconnectedness of these paths, and enjoys leading meditation practices in the city and discussions on the opportunities and challenges of maintaining awareness during everyday life.
About once a month we will have a guest teacher taking Linda's place to cover another aspect of Dharma and awakening.
