Because of some unexpected circumstances, we will not be having our workshop on dialogue. Instead, we will be using Monday's meeting as a sharing session and time to discuss Conference Etiquette.
We will use this meeting to talk about the upcoming conference in Houma, Louisiana! It's called Jambalaya Writers Conference (here is the link with the information: http://mytpl.org/jwc/) and it is a conference where one of our own got herself and editor, an agent and a book deal! That is HUGE guys! So this conference is definitely a big opportunity.
To prepare for the conference, we'll talk a little bit about what can be expected at a conference, some helpful tips and everything you need to know to get yourself ready for a fantastic place to network (meet CPs, talk to industry professionals and more!)
The conference how-to talk should only take about 20-30 minutes of our time and the rest will be utilized for sharing work.
This meeting is at the Fairwood Library on Old Hammond. Hope to see you all there!
