Boston Unity Developers - BUD

Summary
A Unity-based subgroup of BGD (Boston Game Developers) with excited game dev organizers who are here to facilitate members in our community to seek jolly collaboration and expand our capabilities within Unity.

If you make (or want to make) games in Unity, come through!
If you just like yapping about video games, also come through!

Tech Policy
If you plan to present or demo your game, especially if you'll be showcasing your project from within the Unity Editor, we recommend bringing your laptop or device to share your project.

Our current venue provides a variety of adapters for personal laptops and some mobile devices, but we cannot guarantee compatibility with every device or setup. We also recommend testing your presentation equipment when you arrive to ensure everything is working properly and to allow time to resolve any technical issues before your presentation. If you run into any problems, one of our BUD Organizers at the event will be happy to help troubleshoot.

Recent Changes
Following the legacy of BUG (Boston Unity Group), previously the longest running Unity User Group in existence, BUD (Boston Unity Developers) are re-starting the Meetup as of June 2026.

Its founders, organizers and members formed and maintained a group that was a vital and valuable part to the community for a decade and a half with thousands of members.

This community cannot deny the identity formed through BUG and its members, as well as the valuable foundation laid by its founders. That said, while the BUG founders and organizers are always welcome friends to this group, we want to make it clear that this is a new chapter and the direction this group takes moving forward is not in any way a reflection of BUG's decision making or values.
