JUNE 19 - 22 - BEN NEVIS & THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS (LONG WEEKEND AWAY)

Details

Join us in Scotland to climb BEN NEVIS!

At 1,343 metres, Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in Britain, with a climb that starts almost at sea level.

Located deep within the Highlands of Scotland, the Ben is set among rugged peaks with steep-sided glens dotted with a multitude of lochs. It is a stunning landscape which is the wildest part of Britain.

The Scottish Highlands offer the best of Britain's upland scenery and cannot be beaten for mountain adventure. It is here that we find the highest, most rugged and remote mountains.

We have managed to secure some quality accommodation in a quiet and secluded hamlet just a few miles from the highest mountain in Britain - Ben Nevis! Our lodge is wonderfully set in its own private, wooded grounds and the site enjoys superb panoramic views overlooking Loch Linnhe and Ardgour Mountains.

It is especially good that we have managed to arrange to visit the Scottish mountains in June, at the absolute best time of year when the days are wonderfully long. Any earlier and the adventurous upland hikes of the Ben Nevis and Glen Coe mountain ranges are likely to still be dangerously clad in snow, while any later and we will be bothered by midges (tiny biting flies) which can hatch out and swarm in July and August.

We will have 2 full days of hiking so we can keep an eye on the weather and climb Ben Nevis on the best day for views. There are plenty of other options for our second day of hiking.
