Hadoop, the Data Lake, and a New World of Analytics

The session will focus on how Hadoop is now becoming a critical hub for the data enterprise. We will touch on the best architecture to achieve this via the Data Lake approach. The new generation of analytics will also be discussed and how that affects everybody in the organization.

Rommel Garcia is a Solution Engineer from Hortonworks. He has a Masters Degree in Computer Science. After his twelve-year career in developing distributed computing solutions, he joined Hortonworks and since enjoyed the ride with the Big Elephant. He has presented locally and other parts of the southern region talking about why Hadoop is changing the game in data management and what innovations are created to push Hadoop’s envelope.
