Dan Barasch and James Ramsey
Our next meetup is scheduled for October 2 to learn about The Future of The Lowline from its founders. The venue is at 250 Joralemon Street, not Geraldo's Cafe at 205 State Street, as referenced in some online promotions.
Dan Barasch and James Ramsey have worked tenaciously to transform a long abandoned underground Lower East Side train yard into an extraordinary public space. Using specially created mirrors to channel in and amplify natural sunlight, their creation will also depend on strong public/private partnerships. If you’re a fan of innovative architecture, design, technology or development, you’ll want to hear how they are making it happen and get a glimpse of their futurist vision:
This is our last meetup of 2013, don't miss it! More coming in 2014.
Admission is changed to $2 - cash at door only - small bills please.
No drinks or snacks will be served or allowed in the room due to venue policy. Bring up to 2 guests and they pay only $1 each. A donation will be made to the Lowline on behalf of the group.
