BMW i Ventures Incubator opening
BMW i Ventures invites you to the opening celebration for the new BMW I Ventures Incubator on January 31st, 2012 from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. We are excited to kick off our presence in NYC with a panel discussion "How digital technology can change, improve, disrupt, enhance and perhaps revolutionize mobility" featuring the following panelists:
- Mitchell L. Moss, Director of the Rudin Center for Transportation Policy and Management and Henry Hart Rice Professor Urban Policy and Planning at NYU
- Kurt Buecheler, Vice President, Business Development, Streetline, a highly innovative company focusing on parking and traffic management
- Bill Schwebel, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Inrix, leading-provider of traffic information, directions and driver services, as well as apps and tools all designed to get the traffic-powered solutions to market rapidly
- John Schmid, Chairman, Green Parking Council, providing leadership and oversight for the green conversion of parking facilities to sustainable, environmentally responsible assets
- Anthony Eskinazi, CEO & Founder of ParkatmyHouse (London/UK), according to recent press “the Airbnb of parking space”.
This event will be the first of a series of BMW i Ventures events about mobility and technology. Please RSVP by Friday, January 27th.

James MAside from the rude crowd that wouldn't shut up when the guests were speaking, the meet up was very informative and interesting. Great hors d'oeuvres too!

Sheryl Commodore+1 guestThe crowd turnout for the opening was great, with many opportunities for networking. The downside, it was difficult to hear the guest panelists and learn more about their initiatives.

JoshEducational...welcoming...worthwhile for some reasons...but the "content" part was frustrating because we had to stand for 45 minutes...it was noisy...and the PA system did not work well

russ birdi liked the venue, and speakers, and the food drinks, but it was IMPOSSIBLE to hear the speakers, because half of the audience was busy having loud conversations. it was really rude, and unfortunate, because those of us that wanted to actually hear were constantly shushing the rest of the crowd, but they would immediately get loud again. i hope we can do it again with a separate room for folks who want to just chat.

Baba+2 guestsIt was a wonderful event, quality food and drinks. My only wish was/is people were more considerate while speaking among themselves. The audio system could be positioned further towards the back which would be beneficial for those trying to hear the panel over the inconsiderate folks talking in the back.
