What we’re about

WELCOME!
The BOBie (Bah-bee) Cycling Club is a multi-level, recreational road cycling club based in Chino/Chino Hills (Southern California) since January 2011. Our no-drop rides, strong leadership, and welcoming spirit has helped us to grow into one of Inland Empire’s favorite cycling clubs.
We have enthusiastic Ride Leaders offering weekdays & weeknight rides, as well as weekend rides at many skill levels. We ride throughout the Inland Empire, including the foothills of San Gabriel Mountains, and the coastal communities between San Diego to Santa Barbara.
WHO WE ARE NOT:
We are NOT a one huge peloton or a racing type club. Instead, our unique multi-level rides keep our attendance at a manageable usual attendance between 8-10. Exceptions: Our year-round Tues/Thur night training rides – however the night rides do still roll out at ride levels 4-5.
Since 2016, we offer two memberships: A general, free, Meetup Club membership. We added a unique premium membership which includes lots of perks (see descriptions below) which provides those PREMIUM MEMBERS to club rider accident insurance, perks to our favorite bike shops, helps us pay for the annual MEETUP platform, etc. (see below).
BASIC MEETUP CLUB MEMBERSHIP: (FREE)
Our general membership is FREE through our Meetup Site here. Club t-shirts, socks, and hats are available for purchase to our general membership by email: bobiecycling@gmail.com You must "Join Us" here as a BOBie member to continue riding with our club after your first ride as a guest. Rider Insurance is not available at this basic membership level. Upgrade to our Premium Club Membership Program below for this and other special perks:
PREMIUM CLUB MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM:
We offer a voluntary annual membership upgrade for just $25 which is packed with perks and benefits including special purchasing programs, club rider insurance, leadership opportunities, raffle programs, a premium club-level ride routing site, complimentary catered lunch at our periodic club picnics, and the ability to purchase our club jersey or entire kit. Email us to @ [bobiecycling@gmail.com](mailto:bobiecycling@gmail.com) to upgrade to this level.

IMPORTANT - BE PREPARED!
- All Riders MUST bring their own supplies for flat tire repair.
- Bring Cash or a Credit Card to pay for any unexpected expenses such as bike repairs or transportation home is highly recommended. By not having any way to cover unplanned expenses when something goes wrong YOU shift that financial burden to those who are riding with you or create a situation where you are left stranded, which can lead to awkward feelings.
- Helmets are mandatory on all BOBIE rides.
- Bring hydration, spare tube, nutrition and appropriate clothing to be comfortable during the entire ride. (The weather can and will change during the ride).
- Please be sure to bring a "Road ID" or similar up to date IN CASE OF EMERGENCY INFO list with you on all BOBIE rides to allow others to help you if you are unable to help yourself.
