Star Trek Meetup:Baton Rouge welcomes members interested in all science fiction genres who want to take their interest to the next level. Its motto is "Fun, Fandom and Friendship". The group is taking Baton Rouge by storm with community service activities, conventions, movie nights, "away missions" to local events, paintball, and production on its own fan made Star Trek Series. There is also an active online presence with website for those unable to attend events in person.
