This meetup group was formed for other people such as myself.  A 41-year old divorced parent of three, count 'em (3) teenagers, ranging in age from 15-19. I relocated from the DMV (DC/MD/VA) area to ATL 6.5 years ago. Between divorce, losing a mom, losing a sister, and losing a job (can we say whew!), not to mention raising responsible children, I couldn't seem to find time for fun.

Maybe you are in the same boat, but now find yourself wanting someone or folks to enjoy life with. Maybe dining, dancing, movie outings, game night (cards and board games), or bowling? Sound like fun? It does to me as well. That is why I'started this group for folks like you and I. Maybe you are a little shy and unsure of how to get out there and mingle and make new friends. So let's do it as a group. I am hoping to find other like-minded individuals who are 39-years old and/or older that want to get out and mingle. Maybe the activities you like you can't find in your neck of the woods? Join me on this mission to regain the fun and adventure in your life once more and please don't let the name fool you, no "game playing" here; just friendly folks looking for other fun and friendly folks.
