This group is for those who are looking to save money and be self reliant. Probably none of us would want to give up the conveniences and comforts we enjoy, BUT, learning some basic skills will help save money in daily life or at least enable you to care for your family in an emergency.

Some people are rightly concerned about the ingredients in their food and chemicals in their personal products. Basic skills such as making your own laundry detergent and shampoo, bread making, canning, cheese making, mending, and basic disaster preparedness will be some of the subjects taught. In the event of an emergency, you may very well be without the internet for knowledge, electricity, or even access to a store and who knows for how long?

The time to learn and save money is now. If you have any suggestions for classes please post them on our suggestion wall. If you, or a friend would like to volunteer to teach a class, please contact me.  

There are so many talented people in San Diego, we would love it if you would share your skills with us!
