Hey all, thanks again for coming! We had some technical problems with the recording, which are already resolved and a stream/recording will be available next meetup. Promise! For now, here are the slides and snippets from that last meetup. We're outlining a next for the coming month! http://files.meetup.com/2421242...

Any chance there's a recorded version? Wish I could've been there, but hadn't heard of the group yet.

I saw some really awesome demos. Now I'm inspired and motivated to build more Backbone apps. The cool folks at Pirate Ninja were nice enough to share their code. The app they're building looks and feels really good.

The focus of the meetup was on Coffeescript. Would have preferred to talk more about Backbone basics. We can't assume everyone already knows how to use Backbone. If possible, it'd be great to have more of a lesson/tutorial on Backbone basics to make sure everyone is ramped up.

yay! loved it, thought it was needed in the community. i thought it could have been a little shorter, in order to for people to go home and relax after work. i would also love to see more of a networking aspect - this will allow me to get to know everyone better (and pitch ditto!)

This looks like a very promising framework for creating, abstracting, and controlling many views of different shapes and sizes. I don't think I'll be giving Jquery UI direct access to the DOM after this.

We're looking into getting a couple of more people in, but our office space is very limited, and we're hoping to maintain a class-room sized meetup. Don't worry, though, we're planning to organize this on a monthly basis.
