“Consciousness, Capacities, and Communication”
A guest presentation by Hiram Henderson of Maryland Paranormal Research
Maryland Paranormal Research (http://maryland-paranormal.com/) ® employs technical approaches to the investigation of paranormal phenomena. In a literal sense, it is a group investigating the intersection of science and spirit (or we might add, spirits). In conventional terms, the group is engaged in ghost hunting, but their work is not about ridding a place of unwanted spirits so much as it is about seeing if there is a phenomenon that can be documented, and if so, whether communication is possible with the “other side.” In fact, they refer to such interaction as “transcommunication.”
Hiram Henderson, the group’s director of operations, is a retired Navy Officer. He is joined by an electrical engineer, a former flight nurse, a writer, and a former member of the Coast Guard, to name a few. His group has conducted several expeditions at historic locations in the greater Maryland region including Historic Savage Mill, Cockey’s Tavern in Westminster, and Nemacolin-Bowman's Castle in Brownsville, PA. Their work has even been featured on the Discovery Networks’ Destination America channel.
Come join us for the first presentation on the paranormal at a Baltimore IONS meeting. We think you will enjoy Maryland Paranormal Research’s methodical, scientific approach and also be fascinated by some of the modern technical tools that they bring to the chase – from depth sensing infrared recorders to induction sensors!
