The main purpose of the club is HDR EDUCATION.
This meet up group is an extension of the Baltimore High Dynamic Ranger Photography Club.
We plan on having a monthly meeting along with meetups for photo safaris, mentoring programs, and training (HDR & HDR Software). Some people can make one meeting a month during the week, others can't. Some can make weekend shoots, others can't. Everyone is different and we'll try to mix and match meetings, shooting sessions, mentoring sessions, and training sessions.
To start we will have quarterly contests. Ribbons will be awarded for the various categories. At a minimum we will have an "Open" category and at least one "Theme" category. Newbie can compete amongst themselves.
Additionally, you as a member can vote on your favorite photo of the month. The photo will win a special ribbon as the "Member's Award"
Ribbons will be awarded according to the judge's selections. The judge will also select one of the first place images as "Best in Show".
This is a unique type club taking into consideration the current technology available. Through our organization's website http://www.BaltoHDR.com (under construction) we will have articles, tutorials, etc.
With this new style club a member can pick and choose what they want to be part of:
1. Attend HDR Meetup events when possible
2. Compete in HDR photo contests without having to attend a physical meeting or go through the cost of printing & mounting prints.
3. Learn about HDR through workshop programs (scheduled on weekends). These workshops will allow newbies to learn about creating HDR images in their camera and processing HDR images on their computer.
4. Read about HDR with tutorials on the website (note: website is just starting to get underway. It will take several months to get finished).
5. Not interested in entering your HDR images? That doesn't keep you from seeing the various images submitted into the contest. Also, as a member you will be able to vote on your favorite.
6. Submit images for the club website for critique. Other members of the club are free to make comments on your images.
