Dear Friends of BarCamp TampaBay,
We would like to ask for your help in letting others know about BarCamp TampaBay. This is a grassroots event from top to bottom and the way we try to get the word out is by word of mouth. We would like you to help by sending emails to those you know.
As most of you know, we had a very successful inaugural event last year, and we are asking your assistance in helping make it even better this year. Specifically, we are asking you to invite your friends, your colleagues and associates in technology and media fields to join us at BarCamp.
For those who desire, we will make it even easier; we will be sending out to you (our inner circle) a series of 4 or 5 emails that you can simply review, edit slightly, if you feel the need and re-email to your friends, your department, other business associates or technology or media professionals.
We are asking your help in reaching out and help us to build a community bigger than ourselves, where we can share and learn from friends we don?t yet know, people who are just as passionate about your passions in technology and new media as you are.
This won?t take much time but it?s important and we ask that you forward these emails to the parts of your contact list that you believe would benefit.
If you believe building a bigger community is important, this is something you can easily do to help make it happen.
We hope you will take it a step further, and not only attend and invite others but consider presenting and encouraging those other you know to be knowledgeable and passionate to consider coming and presenting as well. The event as you know is Saturday September 26 and Sunday September 27th at the USF College of Business building.
Our city, our talent, and our companies being recognized nationally and even globally, starts with the kind of community growth and empowerment that this event is all about.
We appreciate your ongoing support and assistance in this effort.
