Tuscan Bar is kind of the forgotten sibling of the Melbourne rooftop bar scene. Everyone always mentions the likes of Cookie, Siglo, Madam Brussels and now Campari House when checking out a rooftop bar. Tuscan Bar tends to fall of the list.

Tuscan Bar's Italian-inspired fit-out is definitely lavish, it manages to avoid the more Franco Cozzo-esque trappings of the genre. Even the reproduction Botticelli paintings seem to make sense rather than feeling as though the Scary Movie dudes made "Italian restaurant/bar".
Housed in what was, many moons ago, a ballroom (and above what used to be Gaslight Records, may they rest in peace), the room could have been too cavernous for the sort of atmosphere Tuscan Bar is striving for.
Tuscan Bar is a lovely space - at night, the view onto Bourke Street from above the streetlights is charming.

I guess we can call ourselves Tuscan Raiders tonight.. (Don't panic... We do not need to dress like this! ;-) But if you do I'll definitely shout you a drink... with a straw)
