ASP .NET Core OSS experience

Details
This meetup is for those who know .NET (very) well and for those who don't now it at all!
Both groups will probably agree that the starting up a project requires something heavy. Like downloading VisualStudio and SQL management? And the NuGet packages, right? Ow, and ReSharper, we definitely need that stuff too! Have you already updated your Windows to version 10? So some hours and GB laters you are ready to start your console application! Yay! :)
The good news is, it doesn't anymore have to look that way. So dear Ruby, Node, Go (just to mention a few) enthusiasts and of course .NET dinosaurs there is a new player in the game. Open source, cross-platform, supported by the community and the army of Redmond giant's programmers. The new .NET Core!
It's always hard to try new things, but worry not, we passed through that already and we will present you the state of the art without the pain! We will have a full open source experience with ASP .NET Core! Lightweight IDEs, packet managers and some docker too (just because we love it!)
We will talk about:
-
.NET Core basics
-
.NET Core tooling (dnvm, dnu, dnx, dotnet)
-
Atom, Visual Studio Code, OmniSharp and ASPGenerators
-
ASP .NET Core (MVC/Web API):
-
Owin specification and Kestrel Web Server
-
NO SLIDES WARNING => JUST DEMOS, CODE AND FUN
