Dear all, first of all my apologies, I can't make tonight's run as I have to flat hunt.
Congrats to those who ran on Sunday, we had a fantastic run, it was a beautiful day and we went all the way from Diagonal up to the route around Tibidabo called "Carretera de les Aig?es" which was lovely and quiet with great views over the city, it was a bit of a tough run getting up there so this weekend we are planning to meet at the view point called "Mirablau", there is a bar there where we can meet, it is at the bottom of the tram that goes up to tibidabo....... according to google maps the address of Mirablau is "C/ Manuel Arn?s 2, 08035". If anyone knows different please let me know!!!!!!
I will create a Meetup for this Sunday, probably morning time, around 12 or something, and we can hopefully run more of the "Carretera de les Aig?es", according to the sign it is 20km in total, so those of you wishing to do some marathon training could find this a good distance and achievable in around 2 hours I guess assuming it is fairly flat.
So again my apologies for tonight, you guys can arrange the run amongst yourselves, and I look forward to seeing some of you on Sunday, 7th Feb.
Hi and welcome to the Barcelona Casual Road Runners group!
We are a bunch of sociable runners of all levels who enjoy running in good company. Chatting is an integral part of all our runs but we also sweat a lot! :-)
We run every Tuesday and Thursday night at 20h00 and we run between 9km and 11km in a time of between 50 and 65 minutes. However, this doesn't mean you shouldn't come along if you can't achieve this kind of pace. We are more than happy for people to come along and run whatever you can, use the group to push yourself and you might be surprised.
We do have some regular runners that like to run as far as they can with us then drop off and go, and we have runners that sometimes cut the course to make it shorter. There really is NO pressure to run the whole distance and there is always at least two groups of runners that form so please do give us a try, people improve very quickly.
So please, if you're not sure, come along anyway and try us out! There are always more people attending than RSVPs and we have not missed a single meetup since the group was founded. Even in rain there have always been at least two runners!
