Rachel Davies talks about Coaching Teams Through Change

When you come to a meetup like this, you pick up new ideas that you'd like to try when you get back to work. However, you may feel like you hit a brick wall when it comes persuading your team to try the idea out. Resistance is very common in organisations large and small. As an agile coach, Rachel has learned that forcing adoption of new practice results in minimal compliance. Teams who don't want to be try the new approach often fall back to old ways of doing things. Come to get some tips for getting to the heart of resistance and how to dissolve barriers to adopting new working practices. We'll also do some practical exercises in Force-Field Analysis to generate ideas that get your team moving in the right direction.

Well prepared, expertly delivered talk on an important topic. It's good to hear someone put into words the kind of stuff you sort of already know as it helps you think and discuss rationally and make decisions about what to do.

Firstly, I would like to thank Rachel for coming down to talk to us. I found her enthusiasm infectious and love that she is willing to go out of her way to share her hard-won experience with us: it's a long drive back to Rugby. Thanks Rachel!

Secondly, thanks to Ewan and IPL for doing a brilliant job hosting us last night - I hope you all enjoyed yourselves and got as much out of it as I did.

Finally thanks to you all for coming along and making it another successful meetup.

I have talked to someone at IPL about hosting this meeting, as it was noted at the meeting earlier this week that a location is still needed. Looks positive, I will follow up and confirm unless there are any other options being pursued?

Thanks for the offer Ewan. I agree with Thom, we should go back to Bath for this one. IPL would be an ideal location.

I won't be able to make it for the start guys - but hope to make it to the pub by the end!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
