Welcome, Baton Rouge Attachment Parenting Advocates!

This meetup group has been created for parents in Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas who are practicing Attachment Parenting principles in raising their children or are interested in learning more about this parenting method. The essence of Attachment Parenting is about forming and nurturing strong connections between parents and their children. Attachment Parenting challenges us as parents to treat our children with kindness, respect and dignity, and to model in our interactions with them the way we'd like them to interact with others.

This meetup has several approaches in place to aid parents in creating a supportive community in order to practice AP principles including a full meetup calendar to visit with other AP families and make friends, an active message board to share all kinds of parenting concerns, questions and accomplishments as well as more general "Mom" topics and a resource guide for more information about attachment parenting especially for those who are pregnant and interested in AP and breastfeeding.
