This group is for amateur/freelance teachers who either want to teach, are teaching, or have had a teaching experience in various topics, independent from academic or professional institutes. I would like to meet with people who are interested in designing and running their own classes and discuss how to improve learning experiences.

Welcome! We are passionate amateur educators -- radical thinkers, philosophers, dreamers, and idea makers -- who believe in education as humanistic, relational, interdisciplinary, creative, and self-empowered. Our teachers are both professional and amateur -- who design home-grown classes or workshops and teach from a wealth of life experiences.

We face a global epidemic of rigid thinking and schooling disguised as education. What are we doing as educators to heal the learning and teaching in our world?

We would love to meet you and talk about what we are all doing now to change education for our future. What is your passion for education? What drew you to teaching and to learning? What would you do to improve the learning in our communities?

Join us and let's meet! We have Bay Area resources for local educators and frequent meetups.
