Come hear Susan DeCarlo's research into religion in U.S. government.

Details
Sue has been an active member of the Rossmoor A&A since its founding in 2002. The meeting is Thursday, August 15th in the Las Trampas Room at Hillside Clubhouse. We gather at 1:30 PM. for tea, coffee and cookies; the presentation begins at 2:00 PM.
Susan DeCarlo has a double major from Brooklyn College in Sociology and Anthropology, and went on to Hunter College for a master’s degree in Anthropology, followed by PhD studies at City University of New York. She has had a lifelong interest in religion and its impact in the various societies where it is practiced. Taken directly from the news reports of the past four decades here in the United States Sue will be speaking of the rise and consequences of the intrusion of Fundamentalist Christians in government, from the smallest boards of local government to the highest offices of the Federal government. Are their actions an effort to impose their personal ideas of right and wrong on all of us citizens or are their efforts broader? Could they be reaching for personal power? Are they breaking the law? Could they be right? Come and hear results from DeCarlo’s research.
