Welcome! This group is for ballroom dancers looking to expand their network of dance friends, find friends to dance with, attend ballroom dances as a group, and to take our dancing "beyond the studios" and to other great dance places: clubs, parties, festivals. Find a dance partner, even perform in schools or for other nonprofits to give back to the community. We can also organize our own public dances and use proceeds to help put dance programs in schools or for other good works.
I was on the Board of USA Dance in Los Angeles (non-profit dedicated to promoting Ballroom Dance) and we put on monthly ballroom dances with 200+ dancers in attendance and funded a "Mad, Hot Ballroom" type program in a number of public schools. Seems the Bay Area could use more fun and interesting ballroom events. Join me and let's dance!

New Year's Eve Waltz Ball
New Year's Eve "Sound of Music" Waltz Ball Berkeley at the beautiful Chevron Auditorium in the International House 2299 Piedmont Berkeley (Cross street is Bancroft).
Sells out year after year. So they limit attendance to 250 Tickets available only by presale - no tickets at the door. Waltzes, Polkas, and some latin, swing, and tango. Read more

“Started ballroom dancing in 2000 and have done east coast swing for last 4 years and teach swing for beginners. Would like to expand my circle of dance friends. Live in Richmond and have a bridge phobia so might need a ride to some events :-)”
