Too tough to call. Today I'm in a lighthearted mood. Books that have always made me laugh include Anne Lamott's Bird by Bird, Bill Bryson's A Walk in the Woods, and Mary Roach's Stiff. As a kid, I could never put down The Phantom Tollbooth.
These days I gravitate toward mysteries and memoirs.
Play with the old dog (above), try my hand at being a shutterbug, and (eventually) backpack through each of the national parks.
I'm thrilled to have recently moved back to the East Bay and eager to be part of this book club.
Engaging, thought-provoking, and welcoming.
