Announcing a new Meetup for Bay Area Classical Music Meetup!

What: Fall Free for All: Open House @ Cal Performances!!

When: Sunday, September 26,[masked]:00 AM

Where: (A location has not been chosen yet.)

Dear Music Patrons,

Well, living in this greater Bayarea seems real blessing. Month of September is full of free stuff: open house, showcase concert, free opera... yes, list goes on!! We just had a big one(Chamber Music Day) a little while ago right? If you happened to miss it, well, don't feel bad b/c you got another chance to enjoy more or less equal effect. So here comes our Bayarea's own Cal Performances:

Fall Free for All: Open House at Cal Performances
by Cal Performances

Cal Performances opens the doors to our performance spaces for our first annual Open House. Four stages will feature a full day of top-notch performances by the Kronos Quartet, Linda Tillery and the Cultural Heritage Choir, Kaila Flexer, Diamano Coura, Word for Word Theater Company, John Santos Sextet, UC Jazz Ensemble, Melanie DeMore's Community Sing, and many more in an exciting preview of the artistic residencies and collaborations that you'll find at Cal Performances throughout the year.

Check on for more details.

Venue: Zellerbach Hall(ZH), Lower Sproul Plaza(LSP),Wheeler Auditorium(WA), and Hertz Hall(HH)
Date: September 26,[masked]am - 6pm
City: Berkeley
Price Range: FREE

Again, it is like Chamber Music Day except for not as many choices. This means program is more sparsed out and focused on each group. Perhaps we can all come together for discussion after attending both days. It will be very interesting comparison/contrast, right? Since this event seems less hustle-bustle, i have some suggestion on itinerary:

11am - Kronos Quartet (ZH)
12pm - Teslim/Kaila Flexer, violin & oud (WA)
1 pm - SF Opera Adler Fellows (HH)
(2 pm - Break: i am debating either going to Yogurt Park or Papa Beard for cream puffs, yummy!!:)
3 pm - Pacific Mozart Ensemble (HH)
4 pm - Melody of China (WA)
5 pm - Philharmonia Baroque Chamber Players (HH)

TBA (Probably some place for light dinner!)
So, we'll come together & debrief at this time. It will be fun!!:) Let me know on your RSVP if you are coming. Thanks.

Please join me & other fellow music lovers on this day(or 1/2 day) long musical saga!!
