FREE Vegetarian Cooking Class with the Bay Area Creative Cooking group!
Ms. Florence Mendoza (Manager, Mother, & Chef Extraordinaire) cordially invites you, a member of the Bay Area Creative Cooking Meetup group, to her FREE Vegetarian Cooking Class held at the SoMA Gene Friend Recreation Center* on Saturday, 25 February 2012 (from 12 noon until 3:30 p.m.). Vegetarian dishes that you can make during the week when you don't have much free time -- is the 'working' theme (no pun intended).
This Free Cooking Class provides a great opportunity to Meet-and-Eat with new Bay Area Creative Cooking members as well as local community members. You can also learn how to creatively cook with Florence's guidance in an industrial-sized kitchen!
BRING: This is a hands-on, free Cooking Class for Creative Cooks-in-training of all levels (e.g., enthusiasts, cooks, chefs). You just need to bring your own clean apron, and a clean Hand Towel for your use. Also, kindly help clean and pack up the place after eating your free meal. Finally, we would appreciate your donation of any quantity of one of the following food items to help keep this event free forever (list your choice at your "Yes!" R.S.V.P.):
- beans (any kind, one package or one cup);
- tomatoes (any kind);
- bell peppers (red, orange, yellow, green...);
- onions (any kind); or,
- just bring one of your favorite veggies!
GUIDELINES: There is a deadline and space is limited! Your "Yes!" R.S.V.P. here on this Bay Area Creative Cooking homepage will gain you a one-day enrollment to her free cooking session. If you change your mind or are not able to keep your commitment, please update your status accordingly. (Before you RSVP with "Yes," be sure that you have updated and completed your group profile to ensure that you can get access to the kitchen and cooking session. Also, any "Yes" RSVPs who do not show up risk being removed from this group.)
PERSONAL NOTE: Hey y'all, I had a lot of fun doing this class with an earlier group back in December of 2011, and met a lot of really nice and interesting people. Besides, it's a FREE MEAL and we all learned a lot together! So, I really hope you enjoy it!
