With sorrow and regret we announce that our group's leader, Ron Bishop, passed away this morning (December 11). Ron was his daughters' father and our friend.
Ron ardently supported bicycling and he was an outspoken advocate of using public transportation and a great supporter of environmental causes. We will miss him. To honor Ron, consider donating to your favorite charity.

The following is Ron's description of this group:
Bike riding is a fun, easy, efficient way to travel around the San Francisco Bay Area. Safety is priority #1, so everyone MUST HAVE a HELMET, and a good working bicycle. Recommended are water, a SPARE TUBE [for your tire] , sun glasses, a bright jacket, gloves, lights, a snack, and a lock. Meet other local San Francisco Bay Area and Mega Region cyclists for easy bicycle touring rides and San Francisco Bay area exploration.
I am a League Of American Bicyclist Certified Instructor [LCI], and will provide safety instructions before and during the rides. I am also a Sierra Club Bike leader which covers different qualifications such as treatment for injuries and group dynamics. I have completed over 60 rides with no negative incident to date. I look forward to sharing the San Francisco Bay Area & Mega Region with you while using transit to visit our world. We have already completed rides in Folsom, Los Gatos. San Jose, Larkspur, Tiburon, Redwood City, Palo Alto, Mt View, Oakland, Berkeley, Richmond and many more areas. We still have on tap Morgan Hill, Napa, and many others.
We will be using public transportation [BART, AMTRAK, Caltrains, Ferrys, Light Rail, etc] as the portal to exploration of new adventures and bicycle touring. Some trips will be on paved paths, some of seldom used dirt roads, and some will be on regular streets. There will also be tips on how to improve your technique and equipment. Gather for weekend rides, planning, some gear talk, training tips, safety, and Fun!
Our rides are a tour, not a race. We will be traveling at conversation speed and make stops as necessary. We generally stop for lunch or plan a picnic in advance.
Join us to get in shape, learn bike safety, gain confidence, meet other easy rider cyclists and have Fun.
COMPANY RETREAT Rides:
Our San Francisco Bay Area Easy Riders Bicycle Tours rides are excellent to build relationships between individuals within your company. We provide a slow rolling retreat, surrounded by the San Francisco Bay Area beauty. Travel outside your normal areas. Visit Folsom, Morgan Hill, Larkspur, Livermore or other venues for a tour. We will try to meet the specifics of your needs where you want the ride.

VISITORS/TOURISTS/LOCAL TOURS ON DEMAND:
I will work with you to arrange YOUR DREAM RIDE/bucket list. If you are visiting from another state or country and would like to arrange for a specific bicycle tour of one or more of our rides, or other rides, please contact me. We can provide bicycle rentals for your needs. Advance notice is best to allow time for scheduling. Contact me and I will do my utmost to accommodate your request. We have a repertoire of rides that should satisfy your desires and can fine tune them for your specific desires.
We provide lunch stops for most rides and can always modify a ride to include stops and sights you request.
