Bike riding is a fun, easy, efficient way to travel around the bay area. Safety is priority #1, so everyone MUST HAVE a HELMET and a good working bicycle. Recommended are sun glasses, a bright jacket, gloves, water, lights, a snack, a lock and a spare tube for your tire. Meet other local cyclists for easy rides and bay area exploration.
I am a League Of American Bicyclist Certified Instructor, and will provide safety instructions before and during the rides. Mary Ann, Assistant organizer, is a nurse, a great sweep rider, and will provide health tips.
We will be using public transportation [BART, AMTRAK, Caltrains, Ferrys, etc] as the portal to exploration of new adventures. Some trips will be on paved paths, some of seldom used dirt roads, and some will be on regular streets. There will also be tips on how to improve your technique and equipment. Gather for weekend rides, planning, some gear talk, training tips, safety, etc.!
I also am a local green solar architect and use a bicycle to carry my laptop and travel to my clients of all sizes and locations. I do homes, remodels, office space planning, schools, playgrounds, and energy audits/consultations. I also do transportation planning and Transit Oriented Design Development. Companies & Corporate: Our rides are very good to build relationships within your company. Ask us about providing a ride for your leaders to bond. We provide a slow rolling retreat, surrounded by the Bay Area beauty.
VISITORS: If you are visiting from another state or country and would like to arrange for a specific tour of one or more of our rides, or other rides, please contact me. I will work with you to arrange the ride and can provide bike rentals for your needs. Advance notice is best to allow me time for scheduling. Contact me and I will do my utmost to accommodate your request.

We celebrate the shortest day of the year, Winter Solstice with a beautiful, flat, paved shoreline trail ride.
In keeping with this reflective time of year, the ride will provide meditative aspects of the shoreline as we pass bridges, pickleweed marshes, sloughs, mudflats and sandy & rocky beaches. This ride is also a " Getting to Know You" ride and we especially welcome those new to cycling. Read more
