I started this Meetup to create a group of East Bay women hiking and running together for fitness, fun, and friendship!
Where: Our events are primarily held in the mornings at locations along the 680 corridor, from Pleasanton to Danville, with occasional events in other areas throughout the East Bay.
What: Weekly 3-5-mile hikes and short (2-3-mile), friendly runs.
Who: Women of all ages! Children are welcome. An event will state if it is stroller-friendly. If attending a hike with a child, the child should be in a carrier / backpack or of an age where they can keep up with an adult pace.
I also write a blog, A Nature Mom, about hiking, nature exploration, and outdoor play in the Bay Area. Check it out and subscribe to receive updates as I write them.... ANatureMom.com. Or "like" A Nature Mom on Facebook, www.facebook.com/ANatureMom .

If you are a parent or caretaker with a young child (3-8), and you enjoy heading outside for playtime and nature exploration, you might be interested in my other Meetup group. Here's the link to that group.... Nature Time! The Bay Area Outdoor Playgroup.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
