Coyote Trail and GG Zen Center Lunch! (Intermediate)

One of the best Day Hikes in the Golden Gate Area.

We will start at the Muir Beach parking lot, head up to the Green Gulch Zen Center, to the Coyote Ridge, the Miwok Trail, then Tennessee Valley Trail, to the Coastal Trail and back to the parking lot. Or a reasonable facsimile thereof. :) Starting at 9:00 a.m. and ending around 12:30.

Optional: We will end at the Green Gulch Zen Center and they serve a lunch (soup, salad and bread) for $10-$15. It's a wonderful way to end the hike.

Duration: About 7 Miles, about 3 Hours

Difficulty: Intermediate Level. 1000 foot elevation change.

Type: Loop on well maintained trails.

Dogs: Not allowed, sorry.

Dangers: Minimal. It may be tick season, so wear long pants, hats and hiking boots. This hike has sun exposure so please dress appropriate to the weather.

Directions: The trail head is a parking lot 15 minutes off the 101. Take the CA-1 exit toward Mill Valley/Stinson Beach. After one mile, Turn left to stay on CA-1 North. Proceed about 5 miles, turn left onto Pacific Way. Parking lot will be on the left

After, we will head into the Green Gulch Zen Center for some great eats!

Caution:
Walking around outdoors and hiking carries inherent risks, like sun burn, bee sting, falling down, the dreaded 'hat hair'... umm... broken bones, falling off cliffs or birds might poop on you.
