In-Memory Computing with Apache Ignite

Details
This meetup will include three in-memory computing experts presenting, esteemed individuals who are open source visionaries and leaders and regularly speak at industry conferences. While it will be a casual atmosphere with drinks and appetizers, they will each present and take questions from the audience.
- Choosing the Right In-Memory Solution
Nikita Ivanov, GridGain co-founder and CTO, will provide insight on choosing the best in-memory solution for your apps. He'll discuss different types of in-memory systems, including RDBMS in-memory options, in-memory databases, data grids and data fabrics. You will learn about the key features to zero in on when selecting the right solution for your environment.
- In-Memory analytics with Apache Hadoop, Apache Ignite and Apache Bigtop
Dr. Konstantin Boudnik, co-founder and CEO of Memcore (memcore.io (http://memcore.io/)), will start with a brief overview of Apache Ignite and Apache Bigtop projects for those who are new to them. He will then conduct a live demo of complex analytic with new Memcore cloud platform, utilizing Apache Ignite in-memory accelerator.
- Turbo-change your SQL with Apache Ignite In-Memory Data Fabric
Dmitriy Setrakyan will talk about the advanced SQL capabilities of Apache Ignite, including support for distributed joins, custom SQL functions, and others. He will also conduct a demo of complex SQL queries via Apache Zeppelin UI and compare Ignite's SQL performance with Spark SQL.
PRESENTER BIOS
Nikita Ivanov is co-founder and CTO of GridGain Systems. Nikita has led GridGain to develop advanced and distributed in-memory data processing technologies — the top Java in-memory data fabric starting every 10 seconds around the world today. Nikita has over 20 years of experience in software application development, building HPC and middleware platforms, contributing to the efforts of other startups and notable companies including Adaptec, Visa and BEA Systems. Nikita was one of the pioneers in using Java technology for server side middleware development while working for one of Europe’s largest system integrators in 1996.
Dr. Konstantin Boudnik is one of the early developers of Hadoop and a co-author of Apache BigTop, the open source project that focuses on building community around Big Data software stacks, including Hadoop-related projects. Dr. Boudnik has authored 14 US patents in distributed computing. With extensive experience in software development, including Hadoop, analytics, Git, distributed systems and more, Dr. Boudnik contributed to multiple open source projects in the storage and data processing area.
Dmitriy Setrakyan is co-founder and EVP of Engineering at GridGain Systems. Dmitriy has been designing, architecting and developing software and applications for over 15 years and has expertise in the development of distributed computing systems, middleware platforms, financial trading systems, CRM applications and similar systems. Prior to GridGain, Dmitriy worked at eBay where he was responsible for the architecture of performance sensitive high-traffic components of an ad-serving system processing several billion hits a day.
