It's our first Meetup!
I'm giving an avalanche awareness presentation at Lombardi Sports in San Francisco, and all are invited.
After the presentation we can grab a beer and talk about backcountry trips we've done, or want to do.
The presentation is geared toward an introduction to avalanche safety, and will focus on understanding the avalanche advisory. There will be plenty of time for questions, too.
It's a good time to start thinking about the snowpack, and even more experienced backcountry travelers should get something from the presentation.
It will also be a great time to meet other people interested in backcountry snowboarding, and find partners for trips.
