Mapathon in McLaren Park

Details
The summer OpenStreetMap mapathon is the weekend of July 9-10. Let's map McLaren Park in SF! San Francisco Parks and Recreation is planning $12 million of investment in this park, so some of us have been mapping wildlife and habitat here ( http://nerdsfornature.org/completenerd/ ), and it would be great to add OSM improvements to the mix.
We'll combine OSM mapping with taking geo-located photos of as many park amenities and trail surfaces as we can, to create a visual/spatial catalogue of the park as a baseline for local park advocates as the new investments are planned.
If you're a seasoned OSM mapper, just come and do your thing with your favorite mapping application.
If you have no idea what that means, join us and simply take photos with your smart phone (with geolocation enabled!) and contribute them instantly via https://dbinbox.com/nerdsfornature . We'll harvest location info right out of the image files to make a map. Then later we can tag the images by type and provide them to the city as well as making improvements to OSM as needed.
Note: we'll assume all photos contributed this way can be used as public domain images and given to the city (if they want them).
